Opportunity Calls Everyone Family Development Center (OCE) is dedicated to strengthening youth, families, and couples through holistic, wraparound programs that promote mental wellness, life skills, and independence. We believe every person deserves the tools, support, and confidence to thrive. Through a range of services—from grief support and education with STEM to financial literacy and independent living for youth aging out of foster care—we empower individuals and families to build resilience, restore hope, and create a brighter, stronger future together.

Denise Ladson Johnson- Founder/CEO 

Denise Ladson Johnson is the Founder and CEO of Opportunity Calls Everyone Family Development Center (OCE). With a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s in Biblical Counseling, Denise brings over 20 years of experience coaching, mentoring, and guiding families, youth, and couples. Denise, a native of James Island, Charleston, SC, has been featured twice in Times Square and served as a Congressional witness on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Denise has also led as a two-year head coach for Fort Johnson middle school girls’ basketball team, completed three professional cohort programs, serve one elected term on the James Island Charter High School Displinary Board, and is a certified ACREs Coach. Her lifelong commitment to community development, education, and holistic support fuels OCE’s mission to equip youth, families, and couples with the tools, resources, and confidence they need to thrive. Denise is a summer camp/childcare consultant, grant reviewer, and married couples coach specializing in personal development and leadership skills. Denise is the wife, mother of one surviving daughter (Maghony 2018), and three loving children. Denise is a member of the Charleston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Charleston Chapter Leader for Independent Women's Network.
